This is one of the old pubs in Wokingham; it dates from the 16th Century and according to a plaque on the wall it is of old 'cruck' construction, with a 'smokehole'. Cruck refers to the old traditional way of using old oak frame construction. Popular place for a pint outside on a summer day.
The shot was taken on a film I ran through the Voigtlander Vito B that I bought earlier this year on eBay. Film was Ilford FP4 and the old camera seems to work perfectly. It dates from the 50s and has no rangefinder or meter, so no battery and all mechanical. A real treat to us and get 'back to basics'.
